Not really but the current dynamic of this farcical ongoing soap opera is surmountable to the Young and the Restless.
Even if Essendon player's are not sanctioned in coming weeks (or months/years let's hope not) the financial, psychological, mental damage done on the players, staff and anyone associated with the club could very well be irreparable.
Without having all the numbers in front of me the once proud and financially sound club is now possibly on the brink of implosion. Let's break it down, first there was the $2 Million fine last year then the recent court case reportedly cost $1 million plus as well as having to cover the opposition's cost's. So where Hird has bought the club to it's knee's in his desire to bring the team to be a premiership contender as fast as possible he has in actual fact possibly set the club back 2-3 year's or even more.
After a promising yet sometime's frustrating 2014 season if we could keep our list together and maybe add a quality small/medium forward we could push for top 4 in 2015, but now with Paddy Ryder on the verge of joining Port Adelaide, Jason Winderlich maybe at Richmond, Kyle Hardingham leaving, Leroy Jetta and I'm sure their will be more but the biggest problem is getting anyone to come to the club under these circumstances.
And to the organisation that call's itself ASADA should be cleaned out. To heel drag proceeding's like this is absolutely shambolic. How can it take so long, seriously if they took banned substance's hand out appropriate ban's if not move on to me it's very black and white what's the bloody hold up?
