Saints by 8
Swans by 10

Another series of possibly seriously close games happening this round. Friday night's game shouldn't and won't be close although after beating the crap out of a couple of premiership pretenders the last 3 weeks I expect the Hawks to coast to a 50 odd point victory against the Blues. They do have incentive to win with them still sitting third on the ladder so the allure of the top 2 finish and guarantee of home finals really a big draw.
The Giants and Geelong is one that should be close with the Giants getting the win based on the Cats ordinary interstate record over the last 2 years and the fact the giants youthful exuberance a bit much for the Geelong team. If Selwood, Caddy, Duncan, Motlop, Johnson and Bartel can turn it on a win is a definite poss, but I'm going for the Giants by 18 points.
Adelaide at home to the Suns could be a danger game to the crows with all emotion and the tough game against the Power last week they had wanna be on as the Suns have some real damaging players who on a roll can be hard to contain but aside from that Crows by 25 points.
Freo's form over the last 3-4 weeks has been less than top of the ladder material, in fact it has sort of coincided with Fyfe's drop in form, the Tigers have impressed me no end the last 6-8 weeks and I can see them finishing 3 or 4 th and I also see them winning this match by 10 points.
Essendon's recent record against the Power is great having won the last 5, also the power have had 3 tough games on the trot against the swans, pies and the crows, but with Essendon a mess on and off the field and no chance to make the finals so they are taking the youth policy route I expect the Power to blow them away early and eventually win by 23 points.
Roos have won the last 2 and are pushing for finals, also its Boomer Harvey's 400th so they have nothing but incentive's to win this but I gotta feeling that the Lions may have other plans and if Rockliff, Beams, Hanley, Redden, Zorko, Martin, Christenson, Robinson, Taylor and others can chip in on the score board this could be a major upset, Lions by 6 points.
With Cloke and Elliot out injured the Pies are in  a difficult position, over the last few years Cloke has hardly missed a game so it will be interesting to see what set up they go with. But I see it as a positive for the Pies. Normally when a team plays Collingwood they can base almost their entire defensive structure around Cloke so with him out it gives the pies a certain amount of mystique. Having lost their last 4 games after pushing for top 4 I expect Pendlebury, Swan ,Sidebottom and the likes to get the pies over the much improved Bullies who are a great team this year but they won't win this Pies by 12.
Dees and the saints played out a cracker a few weeks ago with the saints pinching the win in the last 10 seconds for me saints again by 8.
Swans have been basically written off as a premiership contender after the hawks made them look like spastics last weekend but I'm a believer that they aren't done with yet and think they can get an inspired Eagles team who have only lost 1 out of their last 12. Swanies by 10.
